IAG Partners with Starlink for High-Speed In-Flight Wi-Fi

European Airline Group to Equip Over 500 Aircraft with Starlink Wi-Fi

International Airlines Group (IAG) has partnered with Starlink to equip over 500 aircraft with high-speed satellite Wi-Fi starting in early 2026. The service will be available on all active aircraft not scheduled for near-term retirement, offering download and upload speeds comparable to home broadband. IAG CEO Luis Gallego stated that staying connected in the skies is increasingly important to customers, and the introduction of high-speed Wi-Fi will transform onboard connectivity. The rollout is part of IAG’s broader innovation and digital transformation strategy, which includes the use of artificial intelligence to optimize engine maintenance and the IAGi venturing fund to support aviation-related startups. This partnership was first reported by AeroTime.
