Bahrain Carrier Seals Deal for Boeing 787 Fleet Expansion Amid Dubai Airshow
Gulf Air and Boeing have finalized a deal for 15 787 Dreamliner aircraft, with options for three more, as part of the airline’s fleet modernization strategy. The agreement was signed at the Dubai Airshow 2025, with Gulf Air CEO Martin Gauss and Boeing Senior Vice President Brad McMullen on hand. The deal comes after Gulf Air announced an initial agreement with Boeing in July 2025 for 12 787s with options for six more. The airline already operates nine 787-9s in its fleet. The purchase is seen as a significant step for Gulf Air’s expansion and modernization efforts, with the 787 Dreamliner offering superior efficiency and passenger comfort.
