flydubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus to order up to 150 A321neo-family aircraft, marking the airline’s first purchase of Airbus planes. The agreement complements flydubai’s existing Boeing backlog and is expected to support the airline’s long-term expansion plans. The deal was announced at the Dubai Airshow 2025, where Airbus CEO Christian Scherer and flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith signed the agreement. The deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2031.
