US Government Rewards Patriots for Working Through Historic Shutdown
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced a $10,000 bonus plan for air traffic controllers and technicians who worked without pay during the recent government shutdown. The bonus is a response to President Trump’s pledge to reward those who remained on the job. The Transportation Security Administration will also award $10,000 payments to TSA officers with perfect attendance. The move comes as the aviation system faced significant strain during the shutdown, with delays of up to 83 minutes at major airports. The FAA said all recipients met a zero-absence requirement. The plan was first reported by AeroTime.
