Airline Partners With VTOL Aircraft Developer to Explore Next Generation Air Cargo Solutions

Emirates SkyCargo has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VTOL aircraft developer LODD Autonomous to explore next generation air cargo solutions. The partnership aims to validate the use of VTOL aircraft across Emirates’ global network, with a view toward commercial deployment in regional and global markets. As part of the program, Emirates will invest its experience and expertise into the development of innovations. The initiative is expected to run until the end of 2027. In related news, LODD Autonomous has completed the first test flight of its hybrid heavy-lift cargo aircraft Hili, designed and manufactured entirely in Abu Dhabi.
