Dubai Carrier Partners with Engine Maker on New Maintenance Hub Amid Growing Aerospace Sector

Emirates and Rolls-Royce have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the launch of a new Trent 900 MRO facility in Dubai. The facility will be based at Emirates’ Engineering Maintenance Centre (EEMC). According to Ahmed Safa, Emirates’ Head of Engineering and MRO, the carrier aims to bring latest engine MRO capabilities into its facilities as part of its expansion. Rolls-Royce Director Paul Keenan said the agreement represents another milestone for the company, aiming to boost global MRO capacity by 2030. The new facility is expected to begin operations in 2027.
