Emirates Places $38 Billion Order for 65 Boeing 777-9 Aircraft

Dubai Airshow 2025: Emirates Expands Boeing 777 Fleet

Emirates has placed a $38 billion order for 65 Boeing 777-9 aircraft, expanding its position as the world’s largest Boeing 777 operator. The agreement includes options for converting part of the order into either the 777-8 or 777-10. Emirates expects its first 777-9 to arrive in 2027. Boeing has pushed back the 777X’s entry into service multiple times, with deliveries now forecast to extend into the late 2030s. Emirates President Tim Clark has stated that the airline still expects to receive its first 777-9s in 2027.
