China's EHang Revolutionizes Urban Air Mobility with Pilotless Taxi

China’s EHang Holdings successfully completed the first fully autonomous urban eVTOL passenger flight in Bangkok, marking a significant milestone for self-flying passenger air taxis. The flight, conducted using the EHang 216, was part of the AAM Sandbox Initiative, a collaboration between EHang, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, and local partners. Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, the Director General of CAAT, became the first civil aviation authority chief to ride the EH216-S on an urban flight.
