Defense companies EDGE Group and Anduril Industries have announced the EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance to accelerate the development of autonomous systems. The partnership will focus on autonomous air vehicle (AAV) development and will be based in the UAE. The UAE has already confirmed the acquisition of 50 Omen systems, and the alliance will establish a 50,000-square-foot research, development, and virtual simulation centre in the country.
