French Defense Contractors Unveil AI-Powered Air Combat Initiative
Dassault Aviation and Thales have announced a long-term strategic partnership to develop artificial intelligence (AI) for future air combat applications. The partnership will bring together Dassault Aviation’s expertise in collaborative air combat systems and Thales’ AI accelerator, cortAIx, to build sovereign AI capabilities for manned and unmanned military aircraft. The initiative is part of a broader research and innovation effort dedicated to the future of collaborative air combat, as highlighted by Dassault Aviation’s CEO Eric Trappier and Thales’ CEO Patrice Caine at the International Adopt AI Summit in Paris.
