New Business Jet Enters Service Amid FAA Certification

The new Cessna Citation Ascend has been granted type certification by the FAA, paving the way for its entry into service before the end of the year. The aircraft features an entirely new cockpit, improved performance, and luxurious flat floor cabin. According to Textron Aviation, the successful flight test program reflects their teams’ expertise in obtaining FAA certification while designing and delivering the best aviation experience for customers. AeroTime reports that the Citation Ascend is now set to enter service, with more than 1,000 Cessna Citation 560XL series aircraft already delivered to customers since 2000.
