Cessna's New Private Jet Enters Service with Advanced Features

The Cessna Citation Ascend has received FAA certification, paving the way for its entry into service before the end of 2025. The aircraft features a new cockpit, improved performance, and a luxurious cabin, with Garmin G5000 avionics and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines. Textron Aviation confirmed the achievement on November 6, 2025, after two flight test aircraft completed over 1,000 flight hours and numerous certification tests.
