Lessor Avolon Expands Partnership with CFM International for LEAP-1A Engines

Avolon, a Dublin-based aircraft lessor, has ordered 100 CFM LEAP-1A engines to power 50 new A320neo family aircraft. The order reflects the company’s partnership with CFM International, a joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran. Avolon currently manages a fleet of 99 A320neo family aircraft powered by LEAP-1A engines. The company cited a need to reduce emissions and support airline growth through 2030 and beyond.
