AAPA Sets 5% Sustainable Aviation Fuel Goal, Calls for Regulatory Harmonization
Asia Pacific aviation leaders gathered for the 69th Assembly of Presidents in Bangkok, where they reported robust performance metrics for 2025 and adopted ambitious sustainability targets. However, the industry faces challenges from tariffs, supply chain bottlenecks, and military conflicts, which may impact the adoption of these targets. The AAPA is calling on governments to support the development of SAF and implement policies to speed up its production. The association also emphasized the need for regulatory harmonization and improved safety protocols.
