US Defense Firm Teams with UAE-Based EDGE Group to Develop Autonomous Tech

Anduril and EDGE Group have launched a joint venture to manufacture drones for commercial and defense applications. The partnership, called the EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance, aims to develop autonomous tech and has already booked orders for an initial product, the Omen drone. The UAE has committed $200 million to the venture, with plans to build the drones at an EDGE facility in the UAE and potentially at Anduril’s factory in Ohio. The partnership may signal a growing trend of defense contractors expanding into commercial drone markets.
