Spanish Carrier Expands Long-Haul Fleet with Airbus A350-900

Air Europa has signed a MoU with Airbus for up to 40 A350-900 aircraft, marking a significant step in the Spanish carrier’s long-haul fleet renewal. The agreement was announced at the Dubai Airshow 2025 and is expected to accelerate the replacement of older widebodies. According to AeroTime, Air Europa President Juan Jose Hidalgo described the A350-900 as a game-changer for Latin American destinations, highlighting its passenger comfort and operational performance. Airbus EVP Sales for Commercial Aircraft Benoît de Saint-Exupéry called the agreement a strong endorsement of the A350 platform, stating that Airbus will support Air Europa’s growth as it prepares for future long-haul expansion.
