Air Canada Expands European Network Amid Strong Demand for Leisure Travel
Air Canada has announced a major expansion of its summer 2026 transatlantic schedule, adding five new routes across Europe and the Atlantic from its Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax hubs. The airline will launch nonstop service from Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to Berlin Airport (BER) three times weekly and to Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE) in France, also three times per week. From Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Air Canada will introduce flights to Ponta Delgada Airport (PDL) in Portugal’s Azores archipelago. Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) will gain its second international destination with new service to Brussels Airport (BRU), operating three times weekly. Additionally, the airline will resume its seasonal Montreal-Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) route for summer 2026. The airline’s expansion builds on its previously announced summer 2026 international expansion, which includes new services to Palma de Mallorca and Catania, Sicily, from Montreal, Shanghai and Budapest from Toronto, and year-round Bangkok service from Vancouver. Air Canada’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Galardo, said the airline is expanding its transatlantic network to offer customers more exciting destinations to explore.
