Airline Expands Fleet with Airbus Deal Amid Shift to Narrowbodies
Air Astana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for up to 50 A320neo family aircraft, including 25 firm orders and 25 purchase options. The airline plans to use the A321LR variant for medium and long-haul services. Air Astana is replacing its Boeing 767-300ERs with 787 Dreamliners. The deal is subject to shareholder approval and delivery sequencing will depend on Airbus production slots into the 2030s. This agreement was first reported by AeroTime.
