UAE City Launches World's First Vertiport Network for Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft

Abu Dhabi has unveiled its new vertiport network, designed to connect key destinations with electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The project, announced on November 10, 2025, is a collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, General Civil Aviation Authority, Integrated Transport Centre, and Abu Dhabi Airports. With over ten vertiports planned, the network will transform urban transportation in the emirate, providing fast, low-emission travel options. According to AeroTime, this initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader vision of promoting sustainable transport and innovation-led economic diversification.
