Abu Dhabi Unveils Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft Network

Abu Dhabi has launched the world’s first vertiport network, a collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, the General Civil Aviation Authority, the Integrated Transport Centre, and Abu Dhabi Airports. The network will connect key destinations with electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, reducing travel times and emissions. The project aims to promote sustainable transport and innovation-led economic diversification, positioning Abu Dhabi as a global leader in next-generation mobility. The first eVTOL flights are expected in 2026.
