Avianca and Gol Owner Abra Group Acquires Majority Stake in Chilean Carrier SKY Airline

Abra Group is acquiring a majority stake in Chilean carrier SKY Airline after submitting documentation to competition authorities. The current majority shareholders will become minority shareholders, while SKY will maintain its brand, culture, and talent. CEO Adrian Neuhauser said the deal will allow Abra Group to strengthen the region’s air market. The acquisition is part of Abra Group, which also holds an investment in Spanish carrier Wamos Air, and employs nearly 30,000 people.
