Tokyo Company Secures First Domestic Defence Contract For Modular UAVs
Terra Drone Corporation has secured a procurement order from Japan’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) to supply its Terra Entry modular UAVs for training purposes. The contract, valued at JPY115.4 million (USD728,337), includes the delivery of 300 units by September 2025. Terra Drone’s entry into the defence sector, announced in March, is gaining momentum with this first domestic contract. The company has also invested in Ukrainian defence technology companies, including Winnylab and Amazing Drones. This development was first reported by Janes.
