French Aerospace Giant Honors Late Mayor and Industry Leader

Dassault Aviation has announced the passing of Alain Anziani, aged 74, who served as mayor of Mérignac from 2014 to 2025. Anziani was a key partner in the development of the aeronautics industry and supported Dassault Aviation’s industrial projects in Mérignac. The company expanded its workforce and surface area during his tenure. ‘Alain Anziani was delighted with these industrial achievements,’ said Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation. ‘He loved his city, he loved aviation, and he was firmly convinced that the two were inseparable.’
