Sweden and US Collaborate on Satellite Launch Services from Esrange Space Center

Sweden and the US have finalized a Technology Safeguards Agreement, allowing Firefly Aerospace to launch from Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, Sweden. The agreement enables the development of a comprehensive satellite launch service at the spaceport, which will cater to the growing demand for orbital launch capabilities from mainland Europe. The partnership between Firefly Aerospace and Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) is expected to strengthen the US and Sweden’s space cooperation and enhance the competitiveness of the European space industry.
