Atlanta-Based Developer Advances Supersonic Program With Successful Test
Hermeus, an Atlanta-based aircraft developer, has successfully completed the first flight of its Quarterhorse Mk. 2.1 supersonic flight demonstrator at Spaceport America in New Mexico. The remotely piloted aircraft, powered by a Pratt & Whitney F100-229 engine, continues the company’s fast-paced development program, which began with a short flight of the smaller Mk.1 demonstrator at Edwards AFB, California, in May 2025. This milestone was reported by Aviation Week.
