Switzerland and US Companies Collaborate on Advanced Pilot Training System
Pilatus and Lockheed Martin have partnered under an offset project to develop an advanced next-generation pilot training system. This will allow Pilatus to provide a bespoke solution to customers operating fifth-generation frontline aircraft, such as the F-35. The partnership is part of Switzerland’s commitment to implement offset projects equal to 60 percent of the contract value. Breaking Defense reports that Markus Bucher, CEO of Pilatus, emphasized the win-win situation for all three parties, while J.R. McDonald, Vice President of F-35 Business Development at Lockheed Martin, highlighted the importance of this cooperation in strengthening national security.
