Firefly Aerospace to Launch Technology Demonstration Mission for Lockheed Martin

Firefly Aerospace is set to launch its Alpha FLTA006 mission for Lockheed Martin’s LM 400 spacecraft, with a scheduled launch date no earlier than March 15. The mission will demonstrate the company’s risk-reduction and pathfinding efforts. According to Firefly CEO Jason Kim, the Alpha rocket provides optimal performance and rapid operations for delivering small and mid-size satellites. This marks the second mission Firefly is launching for Lockheed Martin, with up to 25 missions planned over the next five years.
