Firefly Completes Environmental Testing for NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services
Firefly Aerospace has completed environmental testing for its Blue Ghost lunar lander, which will support NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative. The lander will be shipped to Cape Canaveral, Florida, for launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Blue Ghost will operate for approximately 60 days and conduct numerous science and technology demonstrations, including lunar subsurface drilling and sample collection. The mission is part of NASA’s Artemis campaign to unlock the commercial lunar economy and enable a lasting lunar presence.
