Space Startup Raises $2 Billion Valuation, Prepares for Lunar Missions
Firefly Aerospace, a leading provider of end-to-end responsive space services, has closed an oversubscribed $175 million Series D funding round at a valuation of over $2 billion. The funding, led by RPM Ventures, will support the company’s expansion of its market reach, full-rate production of its Alpha launch vehicle, and hardware qualification for new vehicles in development. Firefly’s CEO, Jason Kim, expressed gratitude to existing and new investors for their support, while Chairman Kirk Konert hailed the funding as a testament to the company’s leadership in the space industry. Firefly is set to embark on its inaugural Blue Ghost mission to the Moon as part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Service initiative.
