End-to-End Space Transportation Company Achieves Orbital Insertion and Payload Deployment

Firefly Aerospace successfully launched its Alpha FLTA005 rocket as part of the Venture-Class Launch Services Demonstration 2 contract with NASA. The mission, called Noise of Summer, lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base on July 3, 2024. According to Firefly CEO Bill Weber, the team ‘knocked it out of the park.’ As a NASA vendor, Firefly looks forward to continuing its partnership and supporting the agency’s larger space exploration goals.
