US Company Partners with Swedish Space Corporation to Establish Orbital Launch Service

Firefly Aerospace and the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) have signed a collaborative agreement to launch satellites from the Esrange Space Center in Sweden, starting in 2026. The new launch service will support commercial, civil, and defense customers, with the inaugural launch scheduled for 2026. Firefly’s Alpha rocket will launch from Esrange Launch Complex 3C, which has been modified for satellite launches. The partnership aims to reduce the current gap in orbital launch sites in Europe and provide a competitive launch service for the region.
