Firefly Aerospace has completed its Rocket Ranch expansion in Briggs, Texas, with new manufacturing facilities, test stands, and automated machinery. The company is utilizing a new AFP machine and 7-axis robotic powermill to produce rocket components, reducing production times by nine times and costs by seven times. Firefly is also expanding its mission operations centers and headquarters to support growing demand for its launch services. The company’s CEO, Bill Weber, stated that the expansion was completed in under a year’s time, and the new machinery will enable Firefly to deliver responsive, reliable, and affordable space access for government and commercial customers.
