Space Transportation Company Expands Manufacturing Capabilities with New Machinery

Firefly Aerospace has expanded its manufacturing facilities in Briggs, Texas, to support the production of Northrop Grumman’s Antares 330 and the Medium Launch Vehicle (MLV). The company has added two new test stands and installed state-of-the-art machinery, including a new Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) machine. Firefly is utilizing the AFP machine to rapidly fabricate carbon composite structures for rocket production. According to CEO Bill Weber, the expansion has been completed in less than a year’s time. Firefly is focused on delivering responsive, reliable, and affordable space access for government and commercial customers.
