Firefly Aerospace Lands $700M SLIC Contract for NRO Launch Services
Firefly Aerospace has been selected by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) to serve as a launch provider with its Alpha rocket under the SLIC program. The 10-year contract has a ceiling value of $700 million and allows Firefly to compete for NRO launches. Firefly’s CEO, Bill Weber, stated that the company is ready to support the NRO’s responsive space needs.
