Ontario Province Modernizes Air Medical Services with Pilatus Aircraft Upgrade
Ornge Air Ambulance Service has ordered twelve new Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprop aircraft to modernize its fleet and provide essential air medical services to Ontario citizens. The upgrade is part of a long-term partnership with Pilatus, Breaking Defense reports. Ornge currently operates eight Pilatus PC-12 NGs, which will be rotated out with the acquisition of new aircraft. The new fleet will support approximately 20,000 patient-related transports per year, representing a significant expansion of air ambulance capacity in Canada.
