Firefly Aerospace Expands Lunar Services with $18M CLPS Award
Firefly Aerospace, an end-to-end space transportation company, has been awarded an $18 million NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) contract to provide radio frequency calibration services from lunar orbit as part of Blue Ghost Mission 2. The services will support NASA’s LuSEE-Night radio telescope and are part of Firefly’s third NASA CLPS task order, totaling nearly $230 million to date. Firefly Aerospace is headquartered in central Texas and is a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners. The company is in the final assembly phase of its Blue Ghost lunar lander and is preparing for multiple Alpha launches and its first Elytra mission in 2024.
