Washington Backs Israel and Gulf States Amid Fragile Iran Ceasefire
The US State Department has approved military sales totaling over $8.6 billion to Middle Eastern allies, including Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. The sales include air defense systems and laser-guided weapons kits, with BAE Systems, RTX, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman as principal contractors. The move comes as the US and Israel’s war against Iran marks nine weeks since its start and more than three weeks since a fragile ceasefire came into effect. The approval was reported by The Times of Israel.
