Russian Defence Export Agency Targets Southeast Asia Market
Rosoboronexport, Russia’s state-owned defence export agency, is promoting its upgraded Project 22160 vessel for multipurpose ship requirements in Southeast Asia. The vessel, a Bykov-class corvette, is designed primarily for patrol and maritime security tasks but can be configured for a broader range of missions. It features a modular payload integration capability and can operate a helicopter weighing up to 12 tonnes. The promotion was announced at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2026 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, as reported by Janes.
