Saab Eyes Canadian Plant for Fighter Jet Assembly
Saab, the manufacturer of the Gripen fighter jet, is considering opening an aircraft assembly plant in Canada, according to The Canadian Press. The move is contingent on Canada purchasing dozens of Gripen aircraft for its armed forces. If successful, the plant could not only supply Canada but also become a production hub for Gripen jets destined for Ukraine, as part of the country’s military assistance efforts. This development was reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian National News Agency.
