Emerging Launch Provider Achieves Milestone with Successful Alpha Flight

Firefly Aerospace conducted its first test launch of the Alpha launch vehicle from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The maiden flight demonstrated the company’s capabilities, but an electrical issue caused a safe termination of flight. Firefly obtained substantial flight data that will be used to improve future vehicles. According to CEO Tom Markusic, the team has made significant progress and is on track for its second flight.
