Gebhard Locher's Private Airport in the Heart of Nature
Pilatus owner Gebhard Locher has built a unique airfield in South Tyrol, Austria, which is used for personal flights and company operations. The airfield is located at 2,600 feet altitude and features a 1,433 feet long runway. Locher, a trained locksmith, built the airfield with the help of machinery and specialists on site. The airfield is popular with local residents and is only open to pilots known to Locher himself. The airfield is also equipped with a mobile fueling facility.
