Firefly Aerospace Achieves Industry Standard for Quality Management
Firefly Aerospace has secured AS9100 quality certification, a widely adopted standard for the aerospace industry, as it prepares for the inaugural flight of its Alpha launch vehicle later this year. The certification is a key milestone in the company’s transition from development to production and reflects its commitment to quality and reliability. Firefly’s AS9100-certified quality assurance program will be used to support its Alpha launch vehicle and other spacecraft, including the Beta launch vehicle, Genesis lunar lander, and Orbital Transfer Vehicle. The certification was announced by Firefly CEO Dr. Tom Markusic, who stated that the company is well-positioned to take on new contracts and development opportunities.
