Launch Services Agreement Aims to Support High-Resolution Earth Observation Constellations

Firefly Aerospace, Inc., has announced the execution of a Launch Services Agreement with SATLANTIS, a provider of high-performance payload technologies for Earth observation and remote sensing. Beginning in 2022, SATLANTIS will utilize the Firefly Alpha launch vehicle to deploy a constellation of satellites with breakthrough high-resolution multispectral cameras. The partnership complements SATLANTIS strategy to deliver high-quality Earth observation data without costly programs. Firefly’s CEO Dr. Tom Markusic stated that the company is pleased to be selected by SATLANTIS, citing the need for cost-efficient launch services in the small-launch class market.
