Pilatus Wins Major Contract for Next Generation Trainer in Spain
The Spanish Air Force has selected the Pilatus PC-21 as its new training system, worth over 200 million euros. The order includes 24 aircraft, simulators, spare parts, and logistics support. Training starts in 2021, replacing the Casa C-101 jet trainers used since 1980. Breaking Defense reports that this contract is a major win for Pilatus, following its success with other air forces such as Singapore, Switzerland, and Australia.
