Aerospace Companies Partner to Provide Flexible Access to Space

Aerojet Rocketdyne and Firefly Aerospace have announced a cooperative agreement to provide flexible access to space. The partnership combines the capabilities of both companies to offer dedicated small and medium launch capabilities to low Earth orbit (LEO), geosynchronous orbit (GEO) and the Moon. According to AeroTime, CEO Eileen Drake cited the need for competitive solutions to address emerging launch market demands. Firefly’s Alpha rocket is currently capable of delivering one metric ton to LEO and 630 kg to sun-synchronous orbit (SSO).
