Swiss Manufacturer Completes Ambitious Project Ahead of Schedule

Pilatus has opened its new surface treatment centre in Stans, Switzerland, marking the completion of the ambitious ‘production 2015’ project. With a blue facade and modern facilities, the building offers space for various component surface treatments, including wings and fuselage for all aircraft types. Breaking Defense reports that over 160 loaded lorries arrived on site between February and September 2017, while aircraft production operations continued uninterrupted. The new centre brings many advantages, including process-related workplaces, simplification of material flows, and reduction of turnaround times.
