Vietnam Airlines Launches First Direct Flights to Copenhagen
Vietnam Airlines is launching direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Copenhagen starting December 15, 2025, establishing Vietnam’s first air bridge to Scandinavia. Operating three times weekly on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the route eliminates the need for stopovers in Tokyo, Bangkok, or Middle Eastern hubs that have historically complicated travel between the regions. The carrier expects to transport 20,000 passengers in the first year across business, premium economy, and economy cabins totaling 300 seats. The announcement accompanies four strategic partnership agreements with Danish organizations, including Greater Copenhagen Connected, Copenhagen Airport, and tour operators Albatros Travel and Nordic Travel. These partnerships aim to develop tourism packages connecting Vietnamese travelers with Scandinavian experiences while introducing Nordic visitors to Vietnam’s cultural and coastal attractions, strengthening aviation and tourism ties between Southeast Asia and Northern Europe.
