Republic Airways & Mesa Air Merge, Creating Major US Regional Carrier

Republic Airways has successfully completed its merger with Mesa Air Group, creating the second-largest regional airline in the United States. The combined entity brings together over 8,000 aviation professionals and operates the world’s largest Embraer jet fleet with 310 aircraft. The merger, announced in April 2025 and approved by stockholders in November, positions the new carrier to serve major US airlines through existing and new capacity purchase agreements while maintaining separate operations during integration.
