Korean Air Group to Launch Starlink In-Flight Wi-Fi on All Airlines
Korean Air and four sister airlines in the Hanjin Group are set to become South Korea’s first carriers adopting SpaceX’s Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi. Beginning installation in late 2025, the five carriers plan service launches starting mid-2026, with fleet-wide rollout targeted by 2027. Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite network promises speeds up to 500 Mbps, significantly outpacing traditional ground-based and geostationary systems. This strategic move positions the Hanjin Group alongside international carriers like IAG in the competitive race for premium passenger connectivity.
