Jekta Unveils Electric Seaplane Subscale Model for Flight Testing
Switzerland-based Jekta has unveiled a 1:9 scale model of its PHA-ZE 100 fully electric amphibious aircraft, currently undergoing flight tests in Italy. The subscale model will generate crucial aerodynamic and performance data to inform the development of the full-scale prototype, targeted for first flight by late 2027 and service entry in 2030-31. Jekta has also partnered with Pennsylvania-based Innovative Aerosystems to develop specialized avionics for amphibious operations in remote regions.
